We walk the site, review engineer drawings, note access constraints and flag anything that will affect cost or schedule.

Written quote & program
Firm pricing in writing with a realistic program. We build contingency in rather than surprising you with variations.

Excavation & base prep
Site cut, compaction and base preparation handled by the same RBM team. No handover between excavation and concrete.
- Step 04
Reinforcement & set-out
Reinforcement placed to engineer spec, penetrations and set-outs confirmed with the builder before the pour.
- Step 05
Controlled pour & finish
Trucked in, screeded and finished by the crew to the specified finish: power-trowelled, broom or exposed aggregate as required.
- Step 06
Cure, clean & handover
Managed cure, site cleaned, handover pack with finished levels and any documentation required for commercial jobs.
What moves the price on a commercial concrete job
These are the reasons a reliable concreter doesn’t hand out a price per square metre over the phone. Get any of these wrong in the estimate and the job loses money, which is where variations and rushed corners come from.
Slab size and thickness
Thickness changes with loading. A warehouse slab and a retail fit-out aren’t the same job.
Reinforcement spec
Engineer-specified reinforcement, mesh or post-tensioning all move the number.
Site access
Can the concrete trucks get to the slab, or do we need to pump? Pump adds cost but is often unavoidable.
Excavation & prep
Reactive soils, fall correction, fill and compaction all add to the prep line item.
Finish required
Broom finish, power-trowelled, coloured and exposed aggregate are all different prices.
Programming
Pours scheduled around other trades, weather and inspections can affect mobilisation cost.
